DAVE ACHESON, B. Comm, Hons., CFP
Dave Acheson graduated from the University of Ottawa with a Bachelors of Commerce Honours in 1989. He has been active in the financial services industry since 1990. Dave earned his first financial planning designation in 1993, the Chartered Financial Planner (CFP). In 1994 he was awarded the Registered Financial Planner (RFP) designation and in 1998 the Certified Financial Planner designation. Along the way Dave has also completed a variety of industry related courses such as the Canadian Securities Course in 1998.
Dave looks at all aspects of a client’s financial circumstances. This can range from debt reduction, disability, health and life insurance needs to specific goal planning, such as educational savings (RESPs), retirement planning and of course investment planning and asset allocation.
Dave’s advice will be driven by the client’s defined goals and needs, and is always respectful of each individual’s comfort level, risk tolerance, knowledge and experience. He feels that reliable advice stems from a solid understanding of a client’s tax situation and that is why each client can avail themselves of complementary tax preparation and planning. Dave believes that these values when combined with his 26 years of experience, knowledge and discipline can assist clients in achieving their goals in the most consistent way possible.
Dave’s 26 years of professional experience just eclipse the 23 years he and Sandy have been married. Sandy is a Registered Nurse who has been serving her community for over 2 decades. Together Dave and Sandy have two awesome teenagers Jacob and Lyndsy; who are excelling at high school, making plans for University while keeping busy with their many sport interests. Rounding out the family are their (Sandy’s) 4 cats, BC, Boss, Duke and Fox. Along with a beautiful golden retriever, Honey; a senior horse named Trouble, a bunch of chickens and a far too smart donkey named Moses.
“We measure our success by the success of our clients.”Dave Acheson

Chris Geldert, CA, CPA
Taking the experience I acquired over 8+ years working in the tax and estate planning role with two large insurers and several years as an independent advisor I work to bridge the gap between the client’s professional advisors.
My focus is simple: help business owners and other high net worth individuals create, protect and transfer wealth through the use of the various insurance instruments available in Canada.
